Sodus Bay fishing- About
My name is Abe, and I have been fishing Lake Ontario for trout and salmon since 2003. I was fortunate enough to mate on a charter boat for 6+ years while in high school and college. This allowed me to learn the art of trolling from a captain who was there when it all started. I immediately fell in love with the lake, trolling, and trout and salmon. As soon as I was able, I had a boat of my own. The guys on my boat are always working on getting better, every trip. I find trolling to be one of the most difficult but rewarding forms of fishing. It amazes me how much I learn every trip out and sometimes just how little I actually know about these fish… even after literally hundreds of days on the water. In the past few years, we have been able to get a stable tournament team- we have really enjoyed fishing in Pro-ams all over the lake, from Niagara County to Wayne County.
I enjoy fishing for perch in Sodus and Fair Haven bays and the finger lakes (especially Seneca Lake). Another passion is catching walleye in Oneida lake and the bays.
