October-March Fishing
Fishing this time of year focused on 3 different areas, for the most part.
- trout and salmon in the tributaries
- perch and panfish
- Pike/Walleye
I won’t really talk much about stream fishing the trout/salmon. The tactics are pretty similar no matter where you go. Eggs, small maribou jigs (1/16-1/64) in green/red/pink/black/orange, and worms will work. A lot depends on the time of the year. Stream fishing is done mostly on Maxwell creek, which is 3 miles west of Sodus point.
Above you can find links for Perch and Pike fishing. They can be caught on open water and through the ice.
